Remember when we told you that Best Buy would most likely be getting an exclusive on a White version of the Sprint HTC EVO 4G? Well, the big box retailer has today confirmed that the big-screened Android phone will indeed be available starting July 11, with pre-orders on the White EVO 4G already available.
If the Black EVO isn’t your style but you still want to put hands on the first 4G WiMAX phone from Sprint, Best Buy has your back!

The White variant of the Sprint HTC EVO 4G is basically the same as the Black version, but ditches the soft-touch, matte-Black finish for a seemingly glossy white exterior. We have to say, the White-on-Red color scheme really looks good and could quickly become the “gotta have” EVO model. Seeing as how Sprint has been selling out of EVO stock left and right, we have no idea how long inventories of the White EVO 4G will last.
As with the original version, this White version will cost $199.99 when purchased with a new 2-year contract on qualifying rate plans. For that, you’ll get the massive 4.3-inch touchscreen display, 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 8-megapixel auto-focusing camera (with dual-LED flash), 4G data connectivity, WiFi, GPS, microSD card slot (not hot-swappable, unfortunately), 3.5mm headphone jack, and all those cool red-accents under the battery cover. Oh, and of course, you also get that glossy White finish.
If you haven’t yet made up your mind about which Android phone is for you, we think you’d do well to check out our Sprint HTC EVO 4G review here. You can also check out our other reviews in our sidebar (to your right), as well as our Superphone shootout – because, you know, the Verizon HTC Droid Incredible is also pretty, well, incredible.
So, what do you think? Does the White version look any sexier than the Black variant? Let us know in the comments below!
